KARL & FABER was founded in Munich in 1923 and is one of the largest art auction houses in Germany. Since 2013, the company has sponsored the KARL & FABER Art Prize of the Academy of Fine Arts Munich Foundation every three years. The auction house has also been a sponsor and partner of VARIOUS OTHERS since the event’s inception.

WEISS WHITE BIANCO BLANC

With the exhibition WEISS WHITE BIANCO BLANC, KARL & FABER pays tribute to the private collection of Dr. Hans Burchard von Harling. The starting point of this collection, which has been assembled with great care and a trained eye since the early 1970s, is the Düsseldorf ZERO group and its successors whose work is characterized by the color white and the reduced form of the square.

The show features many editions and works on paper, some of which have been hidden away in archival cabinets for decades and are now being presented to the public for the first time. Personal ties to the artists Ferdinand Kriwet, Günther Uecker, and Herbert Zangs have also led to the discovery of larger series of works by selected artists.
